Our scoring rubric
Every tool receives a score out of 5, built from six weighted criteria:
| Criterion | Weight | What we assess |
|---|---|---|
| Core capability | 25% | How well the tool does its primary job, judged from its official documentation, feature set, and published plan limits — not marketing claims alone. |
| Ease of use | 20% | How much setup the tool requires; quality of onboarding, templates, and documentation. |
| Value for money | 20% | Pricing against comparable tools, what the entry tier actually includes, and how costs scale. |
| Support & reliability | 15% | Support channels and hours, response quality, and the tool's uptime and stability record. |
| Integrations | 10% | Native integrations, API quality, and how well it fits a typical modern stack. |
| Trust & transparency | 10% | Clear pricing, fair billing practices, data policies, and the vendor's track record. |
Our process
- Research & shortlist. We track launches, user communities, and category leaders to decide which tools deserve a full review.
- Documentation review. We work from each tool's official pricing page, documentation, help center, and changelog to establish what it does, what each plan includes, and where its limits are. Where we haven't used a tool ourselves, we say so rather than imply hands-on testing.
- Price check. Every price is verified at the vendor's own pricing page, and changes are logged on Price Watch with the date checked. If we can't confirm a price at the source, we don't publish it.
- Score & verdict. We score with the published rubric above; the verdict adds who the tool is best (and wrong) for.
- Re-verification. Pricing and key facts are re-checked on a rolling basis — each review and category page shows when its data was last verified.
Independence & affiliate links
Some links on Success Gravity are affiliate links — if you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This funds the site, but it does not buy a score: ratings are set before any affiliate relationship is considered, vendors cannot pay for placement or edits, and our affiliate disclosure applies everywhere. When a top-rated tool has no affiliate program, it stays top-rated.
